G.Skill releases RipJaws KM780R series gaming keyboards

G.Skill today announced new RIPJAWS KM780R RGB and KM780R MX mechanical gaming keyboards, an expansion of the company’s best-selling KM780 series gaming keyboard.

The KM780R series keyboards retain the same build and design of the KM780 series but do not include the extra gaming keycaps, puller tool, and the keycap box found on the original. The removal of these features has resulted in a lower price tag as well.

Both models utilize highly responsive and extremely durable Cherry MX key switches rated for 50 million key-presses, military-grade aluminum plate, onboard keyboard profiles, extra macro keys, and media control keys with digital LED volume display. Color options on offer include Red, Brown, and Blue.

The G.Skill RipJaws KM780R RGB and KM780R MX keyboards are now available in the US via Amazon with a respective MSRP of $159.99 and $119.99. That’s a $10 reduction over the original KM780 models launched earlier. So if you do not need the additional features offered by the original KM780 series keyboards, these new keyboards do make sense.
