More than one-third of Xbox One owners bought the latest instalment in the Forza series.
Microsoft in conjunction with Turn 10 Studios announced that the latest instalment in the Forza series, Forza 5, has notched over 1.3 million sales since the game’s debut on November 22, 2013.
It essentially means that the game is bought by a third of all Xbox One owners. Microsoft said the numbers indicate sales to end-users until February 2014 and not sales to distributors and retailers.
Turn 10 also announced that its first add-on for the game, which is in the form of a new circuit. The studio is making the iconic North American circuit Road America available to all users starting today for free. Road America will soon be added to the game’s career section and there would also be a few custom events tailored for the track.
Current Car Pass holders are also in for a treat, as Turn 10 has announced five new cars that they would get access to for free. This is beyond the six monthly DLCs that Car Pass owners are set to receive. The new cars include a 2006 #2 Audi Sport North America R8, 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.
Microsoft isn’t forgetting its last-gen console, the Xbox 360. It is running a game sale this week that sees titles like Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Formula 1 2013 being offered for less than half their retail prices.
