A new report from NokiaPowerUser suggests the much-awaited Nokia flagship smartphone will be unveiled sometime in Q3 this year.
Citing an anonymous tipster, the report suggests the Nokia 9 will be announced in late July or early August. However, you may not be able to get your hands on one until the end of the third quarter. It will reportedly be priced at EUR 749 in European markets, while the in the US it would carry a $700 price tag (SGD 984).
While the key specs of the smartphones are far from confirmed at this point, the tipster had in fact shared the alleged full spec-sheet of the device earlier this month. According to him, the Nokia 9 will sport a 5.5-inch OLED display with 1440 x 2560 Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC, 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, 3800mAh capacity battery, and IP68 certification.
While the core specs sound impressive, most of you will be curious about the camera specifications. Well, if the tipster is to be believes, Nokia’s “comeback flagship” will feature a 22MP dual-lens camera setup at the back and a 12MP selfie snapper on the front. Another unique feature of the smartphone is expected to be Nokia OZO Audio enhancements. Nokia’s OZO Audio tech allows for 3D audio experience via headphones as well as recording of full 3D audio using 4 or more microphones. It also allows devices to capture spatial 360 audio using 3 or more microphones.
Nokia 9 will not be the only new smartphone that HMD Global will be rolling out later this year. The company is also working on the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 mid-range smartphones.
