[EXCLUSIVE] Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie to come in late October, also optimized for older phones

Our sources have just come in with exciting insider info, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is scheduled to release in the late October timeframe.

Android OS versions

Google I/O came and went, but everyone kept wondering where Android 5.0 was. Everyone had the same question, when will Google launch the next version of the world’s most popular OS? Reports started coming in that the company will instead release a stop-gap Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The reason for delay? Well, to give OEMs some breathing space (as per the report).

The latest news from our sources is that Google will take the wraps off their truly next-generation Android OS, a.k.a 5.0 Key Lime Pie some time in late October. I take the liberty to remind you folks that October happens to be the rumored time-of-appearance for the Motorola X Phone, and the absence of a new Nexus Smartphone only feeds more fuel to our report (fire). A Nexus 5 introduction along with the debut of a new version of Android isn’t unheard of, Google did the exact same thing with the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (which serves as the foundation of the current and upcoming Jelly Bean builds), both were simultaneously launched in the November of 2011.

Google Nexus Motorola X Phone

Our sources left us with some more info regarding the OS. Android 5.0 will be an optimized OS and will run well even on devices with 512 MB of RAM. The last time that happened, we were in 2010 running Gingerbread (Android 2.3). Perhaps this is Google’s next big push, optimizing the crap out of their (admittedly unoptimized) OS. If Apple’s iOS can do it, if Microsoft’s Windows Phone can do it, why can’t Google make an optimized OS that runs well on a moderate 512 MB of RAM?

The question remains though, has Google given up on Nexus devices from its own stable? With the recent introduction of the Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Edition (Nexus-like) Smartphones (with a rumored Xperia Z on the way as well), Google may have found solace in their new approach. Well, I guess we’ll find out all the answers towards the end of the year.

  1. I’m certain Stevens Institute of Technology is applying their impact everywhere throughout the center east. We pitch college papers to center eastern nations and have many bases all through the area. In any case, to state Iran is going to assault us is over the top. Also, all of a sudden sending an application letter and a gathering report is unadulterated legislative issues.
Technology for Children is a new program by Bryn Mawr College. Students often help kids with special needs at hospitals and centers. We organize meetings once a year and similar events once a month.

  2. Really cool thing, thanks for sharing this information! I would like to try it as soon as possible!

  3. Great technology, I will try to use it on my smartphone!

  4. Awesome post man. I’ll see if my mobile will work with this.
