This afternoon, Toshiba Singapore held a special preview of their latest Qosmio gaming laptops, F750 and X770, at Challenger in Funan DigitaLife Mall, two days before the PC Show. VR-Zone was one of the media to check out the powerful gaming machines. Read on.

With the PC Show 2011 starting this Thursday to Sunday at the Suntec Convention Centre, it seems strange that Toshiba is holding an event just two days earlier to showcase their new products. Hairul Bin Mohamed Ibrahim, assistant manager of product marketing, South and Southeast Asia, Toshiba Computer Systems Division, was at the event to introduce the features of their latest Qosmio F750 and X770 gaming laptops.

Measuring just an inch thin, the Toshiba Qosmio F750 sports a 15.6-inch high definition (HD) LED display, and comes equipped with second generation 2GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, 8GB DDR3 memory, 640GB (7200rpm) hard disk and Nvidia GeForce GT540M graphics (2GB VRAM with Optimus technology). It also features wavelet pattern with UV texture at the back of the display, and Harmon Kardon speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio that claim to offer excellent audio experience for the gamers.

With a stylish metallic exterior design, the Toshiba Qosmio X770 features second generation 2GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, 8GB DDR3 memory, 1TB (7200rpm) hard disk and Nvidia GeForce GT560M graphics (1.5GB DDR5 VRAM). It also has a larger 17.3-inch full HD 3D display for gamers who are looking for a 3D gaming machine and a Blu-ray drive that supports Blu-ray 3D as well as supports 2D to 3D conversion.

For today only (7pm to 9pm), Toshiba is offering a great bundle with every pre-order of the Qosmio X770. With the purchase of the Qosmio X770 at S$3,799, you will get the Crysis 2 Nano edition for the PC – include bag, game discs, art book and figurine – Razer Abyss and Razer Deathadder mice, Razer Goliathus gaming mouse mat and Sennheiser headphones, free.

According to Toshiba, the offer is available at Harvey Norman and Courts stores and there will be a different bundle pack for the purchase of the Qosmio F750 at S$2,299 and S$2,199, with and without the Blu-ray drive respectively. Also, PC Show offer for the two gaming laptops will be different as well.
