Europe’s Playstation Plus offerings put its US counterparts to shame again

Gamers with a European Playstation Plus account will get Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Remember Me, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath and Motorstorm RC for free this November.

It’s happening again. Whatever the U.S. arm of Playstation Plus offers, Sony Europe steps up and eclipses it with its own assortment of freebies.

Chris Howe, the content manager for the Playstation Store and Playstation Plus for Sony Europe, announced today that European subscribers of PS Plus will get Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and Remember Me, for the low cost of absolutely nothing in November. Keep in mind that Revengeance was released back in February, while Capcom’s futuristic thriller Remember Me came out just this June.

To add icing on the cake, two free games for the PSVita will also become available at the same time. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath – the HD remake of the classic game Xbox game – leads the billing, along with the bite-sized racer Motorstorm RC.

In comparison, US PS plus members will be getting Shadow of the Colossus HD. No doubt, to some gamers, that alone is worth more than all the above games combined. Keep in mind though, European members of the service got both Shadow of the Colossus and its predecessor Ico for free months ago. It’s still a wonder why there is such a disparity between the two regions in terms of the games they dish out. Maybe it’s black magic that’s allowing Chris Howe to keep wrangling up such amazing deals time and again.

If you happen to have a European PS Plus membership though, make sure to grab the games that will be leaving the instant game collection to make room for these new offers. Far Cry 3, Mafia 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch My Katamari will no longer be available for free after the 23rd of October.
