Preliminary benchmarks of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X and the Radeon R9 Fury have arrived, giving the new flagship Radeon R9 Fury X the upper hand over NVIDIA’s GTX Titan X.
The benchmarks have arrived courtesy of ITCM Korea and show the performance of the new Radeon R9 Fury X and the Radeon R9 Fury against rivals from NVIDIA in the 3DMark 11 benchmark suite. The results from the 3DMark11 Sky Diver and the 3DMark 11 Fire Strike seem to show the new Radeon R9 Fury X outperforms the NVIDIA GTX Titan X, while the R9 Fury seems to be very close to the GTX 980 Ti in terms of performance.
In the Sky Diver 11 FHD test, the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X scores 58865 while the NVIDIA GTX Titan X scores 58557. The Radeon R9 Fury isn’t as lucky in this test as its more expensive sibling as it seems to trail the GTX 980 Ti with a score of 53244. The GTX 980 Ti socres 54456.
In the Fire Strike test ran at 1080p resolution, the R9 Fury X is again on top with a score of 19068. The GTX Titan X isn’t far behind with a score of 18393. In this test the R9 Fury takes the lead from the GTX 980 Ti by scoring 17110 against 17105 scored by the NVIDIA card.
In Fire Strike Ultra test ran at 4K resolution, things do not change very much as the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X continues to manage a slight lead over the NVIDIA GTX Titan X. AMD’s R9 Fury however, trails the NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti by a very small margin in this test.
AMD’s Radeon R9 390X card can also be seen in the graphs, performing only slightly below the NVIDIA GTX 980 in most of the tests.
