More details and new official product renders of Dell’s upcoming XPS 12 Windows 10 tablet have surfaced online, courtesy of WinFuture.de.
The magnesium alloy built tablet will feature a 12.5-inch 4K Ultra HD Sharp IGZO panel, with an optional 1080p option also likely to be offered. The display features a high pixel density of 352 ppi and a high peak brightness rated at 400 nits.
Under the hood, the tablet will pack Intel’s latest 6th Gen Skylake Core M SoC and offer support for dual-band Gigabit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 Optional LTE will be available as well, possibly on the highest end configuration. As far as storage goes, the tablet will utilize M.2 SATA SSDs with multiple capacities.
Other expected features include an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, two Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB Type-C ports, 30-watt-hour battery, Dell Active Pen compatibility, and an SD card reader. Two different optional keyboards will be available for the tablet, a thin 1.3mm one and a larger full-key version with backlight and an integrated glass trackpad with additional ports.
The Dell XPS 12 tablet is expected to be announced later this month at the Dell World 2015 event in Austin, Texas.
