Dell’s New Line of Gaming Laptops Are Cheaper and More Powerful

Dell has announced the availability of the Dell G3 15 and Dell G7 15, 15-inch Windows 10 gaming laptops. Revealed in conjunction with its support of Marvel Studio’s Ant-Man and The Wasp film in a screening in Singapore, it was launched under Dell’s new Dell G Series which has been rebranded from its Inspiron Gaming line.

Dell also has a popular fully-fledged gaming line, known as Alienware, which emphasises absolute performance and professional-grade components. The Dell G Series, however, is a new family of devices that aims to bring gaming performance to a more affordable price point.

The latest Dell G3 15 and G7 15 feature Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs, paired with 8th Gen Intel Core processors. They also feature exceptional thermal management solutions and intelligent content prioritisation software, placing your gaming needs ahead of other processes for the best in-game experience.

The laptops also feature anti-glare IPS panels, that pair well with the 15-inch FHD panels that have wide viewing angles and in-plane switching.

The Dell G3 15 is Dell’s thinnest gaming offering. It comes with a choice of 1050 or 1060 Nvidia GeForce GTX discrete GPUs – both with intelligent Max-Q technology for the best power efficiency. It is also available in configurations with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs

For interfaces, the Dell G3 15 sports a 2-in-1 SD/MicroMedia card reader together with a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port, an optional Thunderbolt with Type-C port, an HDMI 2.0 port and Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port.

22.7mm at its thickest, the Dell G3 15 is Dell’s thinnest gaming laptop and is an excellent choice for gamers on the move.

The Dell G7 15 is a set up from the G3, with a sleek 25mm-thin chassis. It comes with Max-Q-ready Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPUs. An optional IPS UHD 4K panel gives users the ability to enjoy an exceptional gaming experience.

It also comes with an option for quad- and hex- core 8th Gen Intel Core processors, promising the best performance possible. Dual drives that are NVMe PCIe SSD compliant allow blazing fast boot times and read/write speeds, especially paired with its two USB 3.1 Gen 2 USB ports and single Thunderbolt 3 Type C port on board. Its HDMI 2.0 interface allows for 4K output at 60Hz.

Both laptops promise exceptional cooling with dual fans on board, along with huge cooling vents. They are also futureproofed with easily-upgradable builds: a single-screw bay door access gives convenient access for upgrades and maintenance.

The Dell G3 15 is priced starting at SGD1,199, and the Dell G7 15 starts at SGD1,699. The Alienware Wireless Gaming Headset showcased at the event retails from SGD361, and the VR Gaming-ready Dell Visor with Googles retails at SGD830.
