Dell has added yet another “InfinityEdge” model to its monitor lineup. The new U2717D is an UltraSharp series monitor with WQHD resolution.
The monitor uses a 27” IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution and offers a 60Hz refresh rate. Dell claims the panel offers a 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, 99% sRGB color gamut coverage, flicker-free backlight, and an 8ms (grey-to-grey) response time. The monitor comes factory calibrated with a claimed average DeltaE of less than 2 for color accuracy. As you can see in the images below, the monitor boasts of very thin bezels all around. The bezels on the top and sides are 7.3mm while at the bottom it measures 8.4mm.
Connectivity wise, the monitor comes with 2 HDMI 1.4 ports with MHL 2.0 support, MiniDP 1.2, DP 1.2, DP out, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The integrated stand offers multiple adjustment options (tilt, swivel, height, and pivot) and can also be very easily removed thanks to a quick-release button. You can then choose to install a VESA compatible stand or mount using the 100 x 100mm VESA holes.
