Dell has introduced two new monitors aimed at gamers – the S2417DG and SE2717H. While the former supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync, the latter supports AMD’s FreeSync tech.
The S2417DG features a 23.8” TN panel that offers 2560 x 1440 resolution and a refresh rate range between 30 Hz – 165 Hz. Key specifications of the panel include a 1ms response time, up to 350 nits maximum brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 170/160 degree viewing angles, and a pixel density of 123.44 pixels per inch. Inputs include DisplayPort 1.2a and HDMI 1.4.
The SE2717H comes with a 27” IPS panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a refresh rate range between 48 Hz to 75 Hz. It offers a 6ms response time, up to 300 nits maximum brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 degree viewing angles, and a pixel density of 82 pixels per inch. The monitor includes HDMI 1.4 and D-Sub inputs.
The Dell S2417DG is expected to go on sale by the end of this quarter with a price tag of around $570. The SE2717H on the other hand is expected to be available in the US starting August 16 for $250.
