Dell has announced a slate of updates to their lineup of computing products at Computex 2019 across their Alienware, Inspiron, XPS, Vostro, Precision, and G series portfolios. Dell has implemented the innovative TÜV Rheinland-certified EyeSafe display technology that reduces blue light on XPS, Alienware and G-series devices.

New XPS 13 2-in-1

Refreshed with a new design that is 8% thinner, while enabling up to 2.5 times more performance, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 also offers a display that is 7% larger, while still managing to fit Dell’s smallest laptop camera in the top bezel.

With an option between FHD+ and UHD+ displays, users can enjoy HDR400-compatible content with Dolby Vision for an enjoyable viewing experience.

Despite its slim 2-in-1 form factor, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is now actively cooled with a 15W fan for superior performance. It is the first in Dell’s lineup to feature Intel’s 10th Gen Core Processors that utilise Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology that proactively changes CPU power according to workload.

Like the other members of the XPS family, the new XPS 13 2-in-1 features a top-notch build quality. With CNC-machined aluminium, and a choice between black carbon fibre or arctic white woven glass fibre deck, the laptop utilised Gorilla Glass 5 for superior durability. Dell has also included a larger touchpad, an edge-to-edge MagLev keyboard and a new hinge mechanism to deliver an improved user experience.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 (7390) will be available early August, although pricing is TBA.

New XPS 15

Dell’s flagship has been refreshed with the latest 9th generation Intel Core processors customisable up to the 8-core i9 paired with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.

With creators and power users in mind, The new Dell XPS 15 delivers an exceptional viewing experience with UltraSharp 4K UHD (3840x2160p) InfinityEdge 15.6-inch touch-sensitive display. It will be the first in the XPS line to offer an OLED option that is capable of delivering absolute blacks for greater contrast. With 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and Dolby Vision, the Dell XPS 15 delivers superb picture quality.

To keep up with connectivity, the new Dell XPS 15 features the Killer AX1650 module built on the Intel Wi-Fi 6 Chipset that delivers almost 3x faster throughput than previous generations in high-traffic conditions. The laptop packs up to 64GB of RAM and up to a 2TB PCIe SSD, while delivering the longest battery life of any 15-inch laptop.

Sharing the same exquisite build quality of the XPS family, the new Dell XPS 15 now has an ultra-small webcam situated on the top bezel for more natural video conferencing.

The new XPS 15 (7590) will be available end June at a MSRP of SGD 2,899.

Updated Inspiron PCs

The new Inspiron 15 7000 now features 9th-generation Intel Core H-class processors with up to 8 cores, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and dual NVMe SSD options. It also packs the latest Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics in an ultralight form enabled by its magnesium alloy chassis.

Adaptive Thermals allow the laptop to automatically adjust thermal profiles based on its environment, utilising dual heat pipes, fans and a drop hinge to channel heat out through hidden vents.

The new Inspiron 15 7000 is available immediately at a MSRP of SGD 1,699 for model 7590, while the 7591 comes in at SGD 2,399

The Inspiron 13 5000 offers a 13″ form factor while introducing mobile broadband connection with a Micro SIM card slot for those who work wherever they are.

The Inspiron 13 5000 (5390) is available end August. Pricing TBA.

The Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 will be offered in both 13″ and 15″ form factors, with a full-sized pen garage in the hinge. The pricing and availability of both versions is TBA.

The Inspiron All-In-Ones, Inspiron 24 5000 AIO and Inspiron 27 7000 AIO offer 23.8″ or 27″ FHD 1080p Infinity Edge displays with a forward-facing speaker bar, while offering Dell Cinema for an enjoyable experience consuming media.

With a pop-up webcam, and a TV-inspired stand to allow stowage of the keyboard, the Inspiron AIO desktop computers are ideal for the living room, kitchen or dorm, with Next Gen Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPUs and optional Nvidia MX 110 graphics delivering good performance at an affordable price.

The Dell Inspiron 24 5000 AIO (5490) and Dell Inspiron 27 7000 AIO (7790) will be available mid August. Pricing is TBA.

Vostro laptops

Designed for small businesses, the Vostro 13 5000 and Vostro 15 7000 offer high performance while maintaining affordability. Thin and light, the Vostro 13 packs advanced video-conferencing technology for on-the-go entrepreneurs.

The Vostro 15 focuses on performance with the 9th Gen H-series Intel 6-core processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics with triple drive expandability options.

The Vostro 13 5000 (5390) is slated for availability in September, while the Vostro 15 7000 (7590) is yet to be announced. Pricing for both laptops is TBA.

New Alienware m15 & m17

Completely redesigned to be thinner and to better optimise 9th generation Intel Core mobile CPUs, along with Nvidia GTX 16 and 20 series GPUs, the Alienware m15 and m17 laptops sport Alienware’s new Legend design language that is both clean and bold. This features an all-magnesium chassis, smooth-edge, narrow-bezel design, an all-new keyboard with per-key RGB LED AlienFX lighting.

The displays are among the first to sport Eyesafe display technology, that makes them safer and more comfortable to use for long periods of time; with an option between 144Hz, 240Hz and OLED displays, users are able to select the option that best works for them.

With the Alienware Cyro-Tech 3.0, thermal module, the new m15 and m17 are capable of airflows 20% and 25% faster than their previous generations respectively.

Dell G3 15 (SGD 1,899)

The G Series appeals to a category of budget-conscious and entry-level players, and the G3 15 is no exception. The new Game Shift can be activated at a click of a button, increasing fan speeds for improved processor performance during intensive use.

The slim build of the G3 15 improves its portability, while the display does not compromise with narrow bezels maximising screen size for its footprint, with the added option for a 144Hz gaming display. 

The Dell G3 15 (3590) with optional 9th Gen Intel Core and Nvidia 16 series chips will be available from early June from SGD 1,899.

Next-gen CPUs, GPUs

9th Gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 20 and GTX 16 series GPUs will be available on Alienware m15, m17 and G3 15 laptops. 

With 8 cores and 16 threads, the 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors deliver up to 5.0GHz Turbo, which complements heavy-duty workloads from gaming or video editing. Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics cards deliver outstanding performance with proprietary Nvidia Turing architecture, while the RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080 graphics cards offer HyperEfficient VR technology that delivers up to 8-phase graphics voltage regulation and 6-phase processor voltage regulation for sustained performance.


Alienware has also premiered two gaming headsets: the Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset (AW 510H) and the Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset (AW 310H). Built on the new Alienware Legend Design, these headphones are sleek and well-designed.

The Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset delivers pinpoint accuracy with directional sound, while ensuring top-notch in-game communication with a retractable boom microphone.

With detachable 3.5mm cable, comfortable memory foam and fabric ear cups, the headphones are built for comfort and longevity.

Precision Mobile Workstations

Built for professionals and businesses, the Precision workstations offer extreme battery life with powerful processors and large storage options. This means projects and workflows, no matter how large and demanding, can be easily dealt with.

The thinnest and lightest, the 15-inch Precision 5540, comes in at 3.9lbs (1.77kg), packing up to Intel Xeon E or 9th Gen Intel Core 8-core processors. Graphics can be configured to up to Nvidia Quadro T2000 with up to 4GB of storage.

With InfinityEdge, the 15.6-inch display fits onto the footprint of a 14-inch laptop, while offering up to 4TB of storage and 64GB of RAM, benefitting designers and creators with massive multimedia files. With an option of a UHD touch screen with 100% Adobe colour gamut display, or a new OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 colour space will also meet the demands of these creatives.

The Precision 7540 offers up to 8K resolution and HDR playback with a single Display Port 1.4. It is also the brand’s smallest Ready for VR and AI mobile workstation, with the ability to crunch data with up to 3,200MHz SuperSpeed memory or up to 128GB of 2,666MHz ECC memory.

With its 17.3-inch display, the Precision 7740 delivers the same VR and AI-ready performance with the capability to process some of the most graphics-intensive applications for architects and designers. It comes with up to 128GB of EEC memory and up to 8TB of PCIe SSD storage. Nvidia Quadro RTX graphics delivers real-time ray tracing with AI-based graphics acceleration, or users could choose the next-generation AMD Radeon Pro chip. With a choice of Intel Xeon E or 9th Gen Intel Core 8-core processors, the Precision 7740 delivers the ultimate performance. The device also packs a 17.3-inch UltraSharp UHD IGZO display with 100% Adobe colour gamut.

The Precision mobile workstations will be available end July. Pricing is yet to be announced. A slate of tower and rack work stations, the Precision 3630 Tower, Precision 3431 Tower and Precision 3930 Rack will be available end June, with pricing TBA.
