Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation gets a 4K display option, Thunderbolt 2, and more

Dell has recently updated its Precision M3800 mobile workstation with quite a few new features and some changes.

One of the main new options is the optional Sharp IGZO 4K 15.6-inch 3840 x 2160 touch enabled display with Gorilla Glass NBT. The panel boasts of over 8 million pixels, almost twice higher than the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro retina display.

The other new change is higher storage option, you can now add more internal storage in addition to the 2TB drive the model comes with. Other than this, the notebook has also been equipped with a Thunderbolt 2 port which is capable of maximum transfer speeds up to 20 Gb/s. To make space for the new Thunderbolt 2 port, Dell has removed one USB port and one Mini-DisplayPort from the machine.

The updated Precision M3800 model is now available in most major markets.
