Dell launches a premium business-oriented Chromebook for $399

Dell and Google have announced the launch of the new Dell Chromebook 13, a premium business-oriented Chromebook with a 13.3-inch display.

The Dell Chromebook 13 is powered by 5th-Gen Intel Broadwell processors and comes with up to 8GB RAM, 12 hour battery life, and a 720p HD video camera. The display features 1920 x 1080 resolution and is of the IPS variety with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touch solution.

Being a business-oriented device, the Chromebook 13 is supported by Dell’s unique IP from Dell KACE, providing inventory management and service desk support. In addition to this, it also comes with Dell SonicWALL Mobile Connect (VPN), Optional Content Filter subscription services, Dell Wyse vWorkspace desktop virtualization software, and Google’s cloud-based management console.

Dell Chromebook 13 will go on sale beginning September 17th in the US and Canada. Prices start at $399 for the base configuration.
