Corsair Hydro H55 & H60 CPU Liquid Coolers Review

In order to provide you with the most professional and accurate reviews, we are using the following equipment to test the performance of coolers. The system automatically calculates the Delta T temperature, which is the difference between the ambient temperature and the temperature at the top of the thermal core. We tested each water cooler with the included thermal compound.

  • Custom copper thermal core with automatic power controls
  • Watlow heat generation rods
  • PT100 temperature sensors
  • Lutron DW-6091 Power Analyzer
  • SL-5868P digital sound level meter
  • CompuLAB interface
  • MyPClab thermal interface
  • Custom calibration box
  • Custom software

More information about our testing equipment and methodology can be found in this article.

Considering their similarities, it was not unexpected for the Corsair H55 to perform similarly with the almost identical Antec H20 620, which is just using a different (faster) fan, allowing it to perform a little better and run considerably louder. The performance of the H55 landed exactly where we expect it to but we cannot say the same thing regarding the performance of the H60, which pleasantly surprised us. Even though both kits are using the same radiator, the performance of the H60 is notably better, even if the speed of the fan is reduced by 40%, outperforming many other high performance solutions.
