Completely revamped Tumblr app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch released

Tumblr today released its completely revamped iOS app, which comes with an all new design and few minor features.

The major change is the user interface, which has completely been revamped. The Tumblr iOS app’s design is now much more consistent with iOS 7’s design. The app gels in well with all of the user interface changes that Apple has made in iOS 7, and it has made quite a lot. Its much more clean, refined and flat than it used to be, so the new Tumblr app is going to be a treat for those who use this blogging platform.

The dashboard has been completely redesigned, it now has a more streamlined look and feel. The screen that displays various post styles can lists them in a grid and the app also comes with a new user interface for composing posts. A faster reblog feature has been added as well, and given that bulk of the activity on Tumblr involves reblogging, it is going to be well received by users as they look to swiftly reblog their favorite posts. Autocomplete for tags is yet another feature that speeds up posting, users will easily be able to add tags to their posts.

The update bumps the app’s version number up to 3.5. Available as a native app for both iPhone and iPad, the Tumblr iOS is available for free from the iTunes App Store.
