At the company’s Colorful Games Union 2016 (GCU) event held in Wuhan, China this weekend, Colorful took the wraps off its most powerful graphics card yet, the iGame GTX 1080 KUDAN. Featuring a 4-slot design, the graphics card is a monster in terms of size.
The hybrid design graphics card features a boost clock of 1936 MHz, putting it on the same level as the ASUS STRIX and GIGABYTE XTREME flagship GTX 1080 cards. However, it is still short of the GALAX HOF with its 1961 MHz boost clock.
The iGame GTX 1080 KUDAN comes with a “plexi backplate/water block”, which could be detachable. Since the card uses a hybrid design, you do have the option of attaching a water-cooling loop to boost cooling. The card’s air-cooling solution comprises of three fans with gold cog-shaped rings and an aluminum heatsink array. The I/O bracket includes a dedicated OC-button that will allow users to switch between BIOSes, perhaps for air- and water-cooling. It draws power via dual 8-pin power connectors.
The limited edition graphics card is expected to go on sale in December or January and will be sold only in the APAC region. No word on pricing yet, but you can expect it to be priced at a premium over the company’s existing GeForce GTX 1080 cards.
