In a packed opening summit, Messe Berlin’s CE China opened for the first time in Guangzhou after its first three years in Shenzhen.
This time, with a bigger scope, scale and ambit, CE China now showcases the latest developments in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), as well as the hottest new mobility technologies like electric vehicles and autonomous driving.
Also making its premiere at CE China 2019 is the all-new Made in Germany section which includes landmark exhibiter and audio giant Sennheiser.
Gao Yuyue, Deputy Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Government welcomed the move: “Guangzhou is a very important manufacturing base and has one of the most advanced supply chains in this industry. CE China will inject additional dynamic to the electronic industry here in Guangzhou and support the economic and social progress.”
IFA Executive Director and CE China Chairman Jens Heithecker stressed the organisation’s goal to bridge cultures and peoples: “We bring together international brands, retailers from across Asia, consumers, and media representatives, to make CE China the most efficient platform for building and extending business relations.”
Alongside the CE China show are several accompanying events. Apart from the CE Summit keynotes, the IFA Retail University delivered the latest market trends and statistics courtesy of research firm GfK. The China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute (CHEARI) also announced the winners of the China Household Appliances Innovation Award, and the E-Commerce Forum will be held later during CE China for the purpose of education for online marketing and sales.
