‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ upgrade plans detailed

Activision announced today that players buying Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be able to upgrade to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 once they launch for as little as $10.

Gamers who want to make the transition to the Xbox One can buy a disk-less dual license digital version of the game for $69.99, which includes a version of the game for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Gamers can also buy the digital version of the game for the Xbox 360 for $59.99, and then pay an additional $10 to make the switch to the Xbox One. This promotion will be valid until March 31, 2014.

A similar offer is available for gamers wanting to make the switch from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4. For a limited time, those who buy the PS3 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will get a code that will let them transition to the PS4 version for an additional $10.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be launching November 5th on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. It will be available on next-gen consoles sometime later this year.
