Nvidia bundling Rise of the Tomb Raider with GeForce 900 series video cards

Even though Rise of the Tomb Raider —like most Square Enix games — is an AMD Gaming Evolved title that leverages the vendor’s TressFX 3.0 tech, Nvidia will be bundling the game with the GeForce 900 series cards. Starting January 7, all purchases of GTX970, GTX980, or GTX980Ti will be bundled with a download code for the game.

Gaming notebooks that feature GTX 970M and above will also be eligible to receive the game for free. The game itself is set to make its debut on the platform later this month, and with the bundle going live from January 7, it is likely that is the day Square Enix launches the game on Steam as well.

The bundled deal is valid until 23 February, and as is the case with all bundles, will be available from select retailers. We’ll know more later this week once the bundle becomes available.
