Buffalo launches a new dual-band Wi-Fi router

Buffalo is all set to launch a new dual-band Wi-Fi home router, the WXR-2533DHP2.

The WXR-2533DHP2 features 4 high-sensitivity large movable antennas and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor inside. The 802.11ac router includes a single Internet LAN port, four LAN ports, and a USB 3.0 port

Security features supported by the router include WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA2 mixed PSK (TKIP/AES) and WEP (128/64-bit). A cool feature is the “Guest Port” which lets you share your Wi-Fi connection safely with a visitor using the push of a button.

As far as performance goes, the Buffalo WXR-2533DHP2 is capable of delivering up to 800 Mbps speeds in the 2.4GHz band and up to 1733 Mbps in the 5GHz band.

So far Buffalo has only confirmed the price for the Japanese market, where it is scheduled to go on sale in early June for 27,700 Yen ($249).
