Box revamps iOS app, offering 50GB free storage for life

Cloud storage service Box has released its completely revamped app for iPhone and iPad.

It goes without saying that there is a lot of competition in the cloud storage niche. Players in this niche can often be seen sweetening the deal for prospective users who might be using another cloud storage provider. Box and Dropbox are two popular companies that are competing in this space, in order to get a leg up on the latter, Box is currently offering 50GB of free cloud storage for life to all users who download its revamped iOS application within the next 30 days.

As far as the app itself is concerned, Box says that it has rebuilt the app from scratch and focused on speed, making it more responsive and immersive. The company also believes that its new app offers the best content viewing and collaboration experience on iOS, with features such as real time search for files, full text search in documents, support for more than 100 file types, separate sidebar for comments and the ability to copy, delete and move multiple files at once. Documents now render faster than ever before and the app also features progress low to high resolution photo loading so that users can enjoy fast scrolling and previewing. Box’s redesigned OneCloud gallery of partner applications is onboard as well.

To get 50GB of free cloud storage for life, download the new Box app for iPhone and iPod for free from the App Store.
