BIOSTAR’s new Hi-Fi H170Z3 motherboard supports both DDR3 & DDR4 memory modules

Hi-Fi

BIOSTAR has announced the addition of a new Intel H170 motherboard supporting both DDR3 and DDR4 memory modules for maximum flexibility. The Hi-Fi H170Z3 is actually the first ever motherboard to bring this feature.

Based on the latest H170 chipset, the motherboard supports Intel 6th Generation socket 1151 Intel Core processors. It comes with the iGPU function enabled from factory, so users will be able to utilize the Intel integrated graphics with the latest Skylake processors.

Key highlights of the Hi-Fi H170Z3 include Puro Hi-Fi technology with a built-in amplifier, PCIe M.2 32Gb/s, SATA Express 16Gb/s, and support for triple display configurations up to 4K resolution. For networking, the motherboard features Smart Speed LAN that comes with a software application to allow you to monitor your PC’s network behavior and prioritize or block different types of network traffic.

The motherboard also comes with X.D.C. (eXtreme Durable Capacitors) to ensure the motherboard remains stable and rock solid. What also help with the durability are low ESR and high ripple conductive solid state capacitors that make sure the CPU receives stable power all the time. These are claimed to have a life span 6.25 times greater than ordinary liquid caps.

The board is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows 10. It comes with BIOS Flasher and BIOS Online Update for easy updating and restoration of the BIOS.

The BIOSTAR Hi-Fi H170Z3 has been priced at an MSRP of $104.99.
