Bethesda opens registration for Elder Scrolls Online beta

Bethsoft has now opened the doors for registration for the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online beta, which will take the epic fantasy universe online for the first time ever in an MMORPG.

Fans of the Elders Scrolls series can rejoice, as Bethesda Softworks announces that gamers can now sign-up for The Elder Scrolls Online beta, which will take the epic fantasy universe into the MMORPG realm for the first time.

Along with the news, Bethsoft has also released a new cinematic trailer which offers an impressive look at the CG sequences featured within the game.

According to Bethesda, the first beta test will "begin soon" and they have released information on what the chosen few can expect from the beta experience:

"If selected, you will be one of the first people to embark upon the newest Elder Scrolls adventure, and help us beta test The Elder Scrolls Online. Please be aware that this is just beta sign-ups. The first beta test will begin soon—watch our official website, Facebook, and Twitter for an announcement about the first round of invites."

Official details such as game mechanics, in-game footage, and more have been somewhat scarce, yet this beta should offer a considerable amount of information in terms of in-game content. As a long-time fan of The Elder Scrolls, I am excited to see what changes are in store with TES Online: there's so many possibilities and so many doors that haven't been explored thus far within the series, and hopefully the game will stay true to the franchise will delivering an authentic MMORPG experience at the same time.
