If you’ve been eyeing the Beoplay H7 wireless cans (S$599) but are put off by its steep price, you might find the new Beoplay H4 more attractive.
The fresh Beoplay H4 Wireless Headphones are fashioned with the same level of haute and precision, shared by its more pricey siblings – while keeping to the absolute essentials. Its frame is crafted out of quality metals made to withstand the pressures of everyday life, while retaining its beauty. Here, you’ll also find the same exquisite lambskin leather cushions, used in the H7 and H9 Headphones for comfort and style. The Beoplay H4 can go wired or if you prefer, wireless – with the most current Bluetooth 4.2 standard and AAC codec support. You can listen wirelessly from the Beoplay H4 headphones for up to 19 hours, and juice it back up in just 2.5 hours. It works with the Beoplay App and can calibrate its sound to your tastes using Beoplay ToneTouch.
The H4’s 19-hour battery falls a little short of the H7’s 20 hours. And unlike the H7 and H9, you cannot purchase spare batteries to keep the headphones topped up. It does not have the H7’s touch controls either. Instead, it features three buttons on the right ear cup for Bluetooth, Music, and call controls.
But, the H4’s S$399 price tag makes the absence of these features a reasonable compromise. In fact, at this price, it’s even more attractive than the respected S$399 SoundLink Around-Ear 2 Headphones. They may share the same ticket price, but you won’t see the same premium materials used in their construction.
The Beoplay H4 Wireless Headphones will go on sale at Bang & Olufsen Grand Hyatt and Takashimaya from 16th February 2017. Available in Charcoal Grey.
