At the Venice Biennale in Italy, Danish high-end audio manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has announced its first-ever soundbar, the Beosound Stage.
Designed not just for audio but also as a complement to your television set, the Beosound Stage is a minimalist affair with a simple flat rectangular form factor that is perfect wall-mounted or placed on a shelf under the TV.

As with B&O other products, the Beosound Stage comes in aluminium or bronze, but is also available in oak for a USD 850 premium.

Retaining such a simple design, B&O has placed convenient physical controls on its top edge.
Within, the Beosound Stage contains 11 drivers each powered by a 50-watt amplifier. This includes four 4-inch larger woofers, along with two 1.5-inch mid-range drivers and a 3/4-inch tweeter installed on either side of the speaker.

This impressive array of drivers are angled to augment 3D sound provided by Dolby Atmos. The speaker also supports AirPlay 2, Chromecast, along with regular Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility for other devices.
The Beosound Stage will go on sale later this year at USD 1,750 (~SGD 2,434) for the aluminium and bronze models, and USD 2,600 (~SGD 3,616) for the oak version. Local pricing and availability in Singapore will be announced at a later date.
