Bang & Olufsen Announces Beoplay E8 2.0 Wireless Charging True Wireless Earphones

Bang & Olufsen, a Danish luxury consumer electronics that focuses on audio-visual devices, has announced an update to its popular true-wireless earphones, the Beoplay E8 2.0. It retails in Singapore at SGD 550.

With improvements to form and function, the E8 2.0 improves on the 12 hours of battery life offered by its predecessor with a total of 16 hours through three full charges provided with the wireless charging case. This means greater convenience, especially with the increasing prevalence of reverse wireless charging found on top-end smartphones like the Huawei Mate 20 and the Samsung S10.

Otherwise, the Beoplay E8 2.0 pairs well with a matching leather-and-brushed aluminium wireless charging pad, which can also be used to charge your other mobile devices, supporting regular charging at 5W, and fast charging at 10W.

LED indicators on the device convey charging status and the number of full charges left inside the case. Standard wired charging is done over the USB C cable provided with the earphones.

The charging case is available separately for those with the original Beoplay E8 – along with individual left and right earphone channels should they need replacement.

The Beoplay E8 2.0 continues in Bang & Olufsen’s tradition of high-fidelity sound quality, with large 5.7mm dynamic drivers and small electromagnetic transducers delivering dynamic sound tuning. Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) technology, Bluetooth 4.2 and DSP ensures fast, strong connectivity, with support of Android and iOS platforms on the Bang & Olufsen mobile application.

Luxury as an essential element of the company’s philosophy, the Beoplay E8 2.0 comes with a premium leather wireless charging case, and can be complemented with a matching wireless charging pad at SGD 200 in end May. The wireless charging case will be available separately from end May for SGD 320, and each earphone channel at SGD 200 per side with availability date TBA.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay E8 2.0 is available from present at SGD 550, and can be found in Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone. It will be sold from the Bang & Olufsen online store at  http://www.bang-olufsen.com/earphones/beoplay-e8-2, and at retail outlets at the company’s Grand Hyatt flagship store, Takashimaya, TANGS at Tang Plaza, and all B&O retailers and partners.
