ASUS Singapore today unveiled their latest U series laptops, U31, U36J and U41, which claim to offer ultra-slim designs with superb computing performance. On top of that, the manufacturer has also introduced four new colors to the X series notebook PCs.

Today, ASUS announced the latest models of the U series of notebook PCs, U31 and U41. Both sport stylish exteriors, are extremely portable, and come equipped with the new Intel Core i5/i3 processors.

The ASUS U31 and U41 feature elegant designs that measure less than an inch thick and is lightweight for maximum portability. With brushed aluminum LCD lid and a choice of black or silver finishes, the U31 and U41 are rugged enough to handle daily trips to the office.

The U31 and U41 also feature two energy-optimizing technologies that work in unison to help extend battery life to over 10 hours. Super Hybrid Engine can intelligently reduce notebook power consumption when performing less demanding tasks, while NVIDIA Optimus technology auto-switches between dedicated GeForce GT425M/GT415M graphics and integrated GPU, depending on the demands of graphics, ensuring that battery power is not wasted.

The ASUS U36 claims to be the world’s thinnest notebook with standard-voltage Intel processor. Measuring a mere 19mm in thickness, it packs a powerful Core i5 processor and NVIDIA graphics card with Optimus technology, providing a long battery life of up to 10 hours.

With its ultra-light aluminum magnesium alloy shell and 4-cell battery, the U36 weighs a portable 1.44kg which is great for mobile professionals. It also features unique soft-touch nanometer coating that repels dirt and water too.

Like the U31 and U41, the U36 is able to deliver similar mobile performance, thanks to ASUS Super Hybrid Engine technology’s “Battery Saving” mode. Add in NVIDIA Optimus technology, battery life can be extended up to 10 hours for all-day mobile computing.
