ASUS unveils an interesting lineup of lifestyle innovations at CES 2016


At its CES 2016 press conference, ASUS showcased its latest lineup of lifestyle innovations spread across various different categories.

MB169C + portable USB monitor


The MB169C is the world’s first 15.6-inch portable companion monitor which connects using a single USB Type-C connector for both power and video transmission. It comes with a 1080p IPS display and is quite light at just 800 grams and has an ultra-slim 8.5mmm profile.

Designo MX Series 34-inch curved monitor


The Asus Designo MX Series is a 34-inch ultra-wide QHD monitor with 3440 x 1440 resolution and features a 2000R curvature with 21:9 aspect ratio. Along with an elegant frameless design, the monitor comes with ICEpower Bang and Olufsen technology and a base with wireless charging capability for Qi-enabled devices.

Designo MX27UQ 4K monitor


The Designo MX27UQ is a 27-inch IPS monitor with 3840 x 2160 4K Ultra HD resolution and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. It too boasts of an elegant and premium metal design with a sundial-inspired stand. Like the Designo MX Series 34-inch curved monitor, the MX27UQ also features IcePower, Band and Olufsen technology. Other highlights include 3-watt stereo speakers with Bluetooth wireless technology, ÜV Rheinland-certified ASUS Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies.

VivoMini VC65 Series


The Asus VivoMini VC65 series are claimed to be the world’s smallest mini PCs and come with support for up to four storage devices and RAID functionality, making them suitable for use as NAS devices or mini servers. These mini PCs come with a modular design that allows users to configure them with two additional storage drives, additional optical disc drive, or a combination of both. The VC65 Series PCs are powered by the latest 6th Gen Intel Skylake Core processors.

VivoMini UN65H


The VivoMini UN65H comes in an ultra-compact form factor that weighs less than 700 grams. It too is powered by the latest 6th Gen Intel Core processors and offers a dual-storage-bay design, native M.2 support, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and USB Battery Charging Specification 1.2 on its side USB ports for twice faster device charging.

VivoMini VM65N


The VivoMini VM65N is a mini PC powered by 6th Gen Intel Core processors and can be used for home or office use. With a compact size, the VM65N offers Vivo DualBay, a unique dual-storage design that can accommodate two 2.5-inch hard disk drives or a single 3.5-inch HDD. It includes discrete NVIDIA graphics, DDR4 memory support, USB 3.1 ports, and Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi. It also comes with built-in speakers offer ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.

VivoStick PC TS10


The VivoStick PC TS10 is the company’s latest stick PC with a fountain-pen inspired design. It lets you turn any HDMI-enabled TV or monitor into a fully-functional computer. It packs an Intel Cherry Trail Atom processor, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB ports, 3.5mm audio jack, and bult-in Miracast support.

Chromebit CS10


The Chromebit CS-1o is claimed to be the world’s smallest Chrome device and features a stylish and sleek design that is just 12cm long and comes in Cacao Black and vibrant Tangerine Orange color options. It has also managed to bag the 2016 CES Innovation Award.

USB-AC68 Wi-Fi adapter


The USB-AC68 is a tiny Wi-Fi USB adapter that can be used to provide an instant upgrade to dual-band 801.11ac speeds of up to 1900Mbps on notebooks or desktops. For maximum signal coverage, the USB-AC68 features a three-transmit, four receive (3×4) MIMO design with two external movable antennas and ASUS AiRadar Beamforming technology.
