ASUS Unleashes ZenFone 3 Trios Armed with Massive RAMS and Powerful Processors at Computex 2016

Asus isn’t holding anything back at the Computex show this year. Amongst a whole range of products, the Taiwanese powerhouse launched its new line of ZenFone, the ZenFone 3 .

The ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra are nothing short of spectacular, packing  powerful on-board processors and remarkable cameras.

ZenFone 3:

The basic ZenFone 3 is armed with a Snapdragon 625 processor, the first of its kind to be manufactured with a 14nm FinFET process. The Snapdragon 600s processors are not so performance-oriented, but they sure are power-efficient. Alongside an OctaCore Cortex-A53 chips and Adreno 506 GPU. The ZenFone 3 will prove to be a powerhouse in the mid-range category for smartphones.

With a laser-focus 16MP Sony IMX298 camera on the rear, a 8MP front camera, a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, a lightning fast USB Type-C port with USB 2.0 as well as a conveniently placed fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device, the ZenFone 3 is a steal.

The 2 variants available are

  • 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage
  • 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage

ZenFone 3 Ultra

This behemoth comes in at 6.8″, armed with a Snapdragon 652 processor and the Adreno 510 GPU. Similar to the ZenFone 3, it has a couple of variants, varying from 32/64/128GB worth of internal storage and 3/4GB RAM more excellent multitasking.

The camera specifications are similar to that of the ZenFone 3.

However, the ZenFone 3 Ultra comes with a huge battery capacity of 4600mAh and QuickCharge 3.0 technology that allows rapid recharging. It can even be used as a powerbank with an OTG extension.

The ZenFone 3 Ultra, unlike the ZenFone 3 has its fingerprint sensor placed on the front.

ZenFone 3 Deluxe

The king of the ZenFones, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe shielded within a metallic unibody design and is the first phone to be made fully of metal.

This aesthetically pleasing powerhouse holds a Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. This amazing device comes in the variants of 64/128/256 GB and RAM size of 4/6GB. The technical specifications of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe are more than impressive.

The camera also receives an upgrade to 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor with f/2.0 aperture alongside 3 types of autofocus technology, Laser AF, PDAF and continuous autofocus. The resolution of the front camera remains the same at 8.0MP.

The ZenFone models should be available in Singapore around August and the pricing will be announced later for Singapore. However, the models start at $249, $479 and $499 for the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe respectively.
