Asus rolls out Marshmallow update for ZenFone Zoom & ZenFone Selfie

Asus ZenFone Zoom

Asus has finally started seeding the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update for the ZenFone Zoom and the ZenFone Selfie.

The update carries the firmware version 4.21.40.74 in case of the ZenFone Zoom and 21.40.0.1692 in case of the ZenFone Selfie. In addition to including all the usual goodies that Marshmallow offers, the latest OTA update will also remove quite a few pre-loaded apps that were included with the previous Lollipop firmware.

Asus had earlier promised that it would update multiple ZenFone smartphones to Android Marshmallow before the end of second quarter. Clearly, it couldn’t quite manage to keep its promise as we have now entered the third quarter of the year.

Depending on the region, you may have to wait a few days or even weeks to receive the update on your Asus ZenFone Zoom or ZenFone Selfie.
