ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is expanding its lineup of gaming notebooks powered by NVIDIA’s latest ‘Pascal’ graphics with the announcement of the G701VI, a slim and stylish gaming laptop packing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU for incredible virtual reality (VR) gaming performance.
The flagship gaming notebook features a 17.3” 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution PLS LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and supports the NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for reduced lag and minimized frame-rate stutter and visual tearing. It is powered by a 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6820HK quad-core processor, delivering desktop-grade gaming performance. It also comes with up to 64GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 memory and 1TB of PCIe NVMe storage (512GB x 2) in a RAID 0 configuration.
To complement the powerful internals, the notebook features an anti-ghosting keyboard with 30-key rollover technology, ensuring multi-keystroke in-game commands are correctly logged even when gamers hit several keys simultaneously. For supreme audio, the G701VI comes with a built-in ESS DAC and amplifier, allowing gamers to enjoy highly detailed in-game audio.
The Asus ROG G701VI boasts of a 32.5mm profile and sports the new ROG Bui-Armor design. It is available in the new ROG Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper color schemes.
While Asus Singapore hasn’t confirmed anything yet, we do expect the ROG G701VI to launch here before the year-end.
