Asus starts labelling PC components as ‘Beyond VR Ready’

Asus is making it easier for those looking to buy VR-ready hardware by labeling its PC components as “Beyond VR Ready.” Asus says that the move lets you “open up a new way to configure and build your dream system with total confidence.”

Building a PC is not just about checking off a hardware list for the best VR experience – it’s about the fact that your system is capable of being so more than a purpose-built VR console.

Along with two pre-built systems, Asus is offering a long list of hardware that will drive your VR headset featuring the Beyond VR Ready branding. There’s even a dedicated microsite that lets you configure hardware based on your preferences.

Overall, the program allows you to quickly identify hardware that complies with HTC’s and Oculus’ recommended hardware requirements for their VR headsets.
