ASUS introduces the Strix GTX 950 with DirectCU II cooling

ASUS today announced the new Strix GTX 950 graphics card with DirectCU II cooling and industry-first Auto-Extreme technology with Super Alloy Power II components.

The card is powered by the new GeForce GTX 950 GPU that NVIDIA announced yesterday. ASUS has gone with boost clock speeds of up to 1329 MHz in gaming mode and 1355 MHz in OC mode. Under OC mode, the card is claimed to deliver up to 11.5% faster gaming performance compared to reference GTX 950 cards in The Witcher 3.

What also helps under overclocking is the card’s Direct CU II cooling that features patented wing-blade 0dB fans for maximum airflow. The cooling solution is claimed to offer 20% higher cooling and up to three times quieter performance.

Now let’s talk about the Auto-Extreme technology. Basically, ASUS has used an industry-first 100% automated manufacturing process for the Strix GTX 950, aimed at removing human fallibility from the production line to ensure consistent perfect. The new environmentally friendly manufacturing technique eliminates flux to minimize dust buildup and oxidization and makes the rear side of the card’s printed circuit board completely smooth to increase comfort for system-builders.

The Strix GTX 950 graphics card is now on sale in most markets around the world. It comes with a free 14-day XSplit Gamecaster premium license, 15-day World of Warships premium account, and invite code for a Diana Cruiser ship.
