ASUS has announced two new budget ATX gaming motherboards with support for the latest 6th Generation Intel Core processors, the B150 Pro Gaming and the B150 Pro Gaming-Aura.
Like the Z170 Pro Gaming motherboards launched earlier this year, the new B150 Pro Gaming and B150 Pro Gaming-Aura features a lot of ROG derived features such as gaming-grade Supreme FX and Sonic Radar II audio, gaming-grade Intel Gigabit Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard and GameFirst technologies, and awesome illumination technology.
Both boards come with the latest USB 3.1 Type-A/C ports and support the latest M.2 with NVM Express (NVMe). Expansion slots on offer include 1 PCIe 3.0/2.0 x 16 (x16 mode), 1 PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x4 mode), 2 PCI 3.0/2.0 x1, and 2 PCI slots. For storage connectivity, the boards offers 6 SATA 6Gb/s ports, in addition to the M.2 socket 3 mentioned above. The key difference between the two boards is that the B150 Pro Gaming-Aura supports dual-channel DDR4 2133 memory, while the B150 Pro Gaming supports dual-channel DDR3 1866 memory. Another difference is the all-new RGB LED illumination on the B150 Pro Gaming-Aura with different control schemes – Static, Breating, Strobing, Color Cycle, and Music effect.
