Asus today announces the GTX 960 Mini graphics card for the mini-ITX form-factor. The new graphics card is aimed at casual gamers who want a relatively powerful GPU that is tailor made for the mini-ITX form-factor.
The new GTX 960 Mini card is very similar in appearance to the previous generation GeForce GTX 670 and the GTX 760 Mini graphics cards. It measures just 17cm in length, making it a perfect choice for compact desktop PCs. Asus has included an innovative new design with the card that combines a heat-spreading vapor chamber and a CoolTech fan with wide-angle airflow and venting to keep the GPU running cool under load. The card includes 1 native DVI-I port, 1 HDMI port, and three Display port connectors.
For a smooth gaming experience, the card comes with a factory overcloked speed of 1190MHz with GPU boost clock of 1253MHz and a GPU Tweak tool that lets you modify the clock speed, voltage, fan performance and other settings right from your desktop. A monitoring widget is included too that provides detailed real-time parameter information.
Although Asus has not provided any details on the pricing and availability of the GTX 960 Mini, it is already up for pre-order on a few websites for a price-tag of $224.99. Since the pre-orders are now live, you can expect the card to ship soon in most major markets.
