Computex 2015 is just around the corner and one of the highlights from ASRock this year will be the BeeBox compact desktop PC.
What will set apart the BeeBox isn’t going to be its form-factor or design, but the hardware inside. This year, we have seen a number of fanless notebooks show up but not too many desktops with a fanless design. The BeeBox will be ASRock’s first fanless compact desktop, powered by an Intel ‘Braswell’ 14nm Celeron N3000 SoC.
The BeeBox will arrive with either 2GB or 4GB DDR3L-1600 RAM, which can be expanded further by users up to 8GB using two SO-DIMM slots. As far as storage goes, you will have a choice of mSATA SSD drives ranging from 32GB to 128GB capacities. Connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0, four USB 3.0 ports (one USB 3.1 Type-C), HDMI, and DisplayPort.
Details on pricing and availability should be revealed at Computex in Taipei next month.
