ASRock today introduced the B150M Combo-G3 motherboard with support for both DDR3 and DDR4 memory.
The B150M Combo-G3 is a micro-ATX motherboard and features two DDR3 and DDR4 DIMM slots each. This means you can upgrade to DDR3 memory later on, while continuing to use your existing DDR3 modules for now. You will be able to install up to 16GB memory with DDR3, or up to 32GB with DDR4.
The motherboard comes with a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors to draw power, and features a 7-phase VRM supply for the CPU. Expansion slots on offer include a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16, PCI-Express 3.0 x16, and a PCIe gen 3.0 x1. For connecting storage devices, you get six SATA 6Gb/s ports and a lone SATA-Express 16Gb/s connector. ASRock offers a 6-channel onboard audio solution with ground-layer isolation and electrolytic capacitors. Other highlights include six USB 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, and PS/2 combo.
