According to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple could introduce an upgraded Apple Watch variant at its event next month.
Munster claims the “S” version of the Apple Watch could come with a more powerful processor, larger battery, and new band styles. Rest of the package is expected to remain pretty similar to the first generation model. In terms of design, no major changes are reportedly on the table.
Recent reports have all claimed that the Apple Watch 2 isn’t going to unveiled at the March event but will instead be introducing the second generation model in the second half of this year. So we’d say don’t raise your hopes for an Apple Watch “S” variant just yet.
