Apple releases iOS 7 beta 3 with a number of bug fixes and improvements

Apple today released iOS 7 beta 3 for developers. The latest beta build comes with fixes for a number of pre-release bugs as well as stability and performance improvements.

Last month it was rumored that Apple will release iOS 7 beta 3 on 8th July. That rumor has surprisingly turned out to be spot on. Those who are registered in Apple’s iOS developer program can now updated their devices over-the-air. Alternatively, they can also download the IPSW file of this latest beta build through the Developers Portal. Beta firmware is released exclusively for developers, end users will have to wait for a couple of months before they can get their hands on iOS 7.

iOS 7 beta 3 brings a number of fixes for features such as iCloud Keychain, Newsstand, Messages, and push notifications. Find My iPhone and Bookmarks toggles bugs have also been taken care of. A common issue in the previous iOS 7 beta release was that many apps would receive duplicate push notifications, some would receive no push notifications at all, but that has now been fixed. iOS 7 beta 3 also brings an update for the app switcher which now shows all suspended apps.

Apple has been following the fortnightly release cycle for iOS 7 beta versions, the second beta arrived two weeks after the first one, the same timing was observed for iOS 7 beta 3. For the public, Apple is going to release iOS 7 this fall, possibly with the next generation iPhone.
