Apple may release new iMacs this quarter

They’re likely to bring better displays and improved processors.

Apple last made a change to the iMac lineup earlier this year in May when it launched a relatively cheaper 27-inch model, since then there have been rumors that the company might release a 4K 21.5-inch iMac soon and if latest word from a famed Apple analyst is believed that could happen this quarter.

The infamous Ming-Chi Kuo who covers Apple for KGI Securities says that new iMacs are inbound this quarter, without detailing precisely what changes these new iMacs are going to bring. The analyst believes that these new iMacs will feature newer and faster hardware as well as better quality LED displays. The LED displays are said to be manufactured out of an LED phosphor material known as KSF which is expected to increase color saturation.

However Kuo doesn’t say whether the new models include the much rumored 4K 21.5-inch iMac model which many believe is currently in the pipeline. This particular analyst does have a track record of being right about many things Apple but not all predictions come out to be true, if I were you I’d take this information with a grain of salt for now.
