Apple iPod Touch refresh with 64-bit Apple A7 chip rumored to release this week

iPod
After the accidental leaked picture of new iPods on its website, new rumors today claim that the refreshed iPod models will be launched this week.

According to French website iGen, Apple will be launching a revamped iPod Touch model with a 64-bit chipset under the hood. Since it isn’t likely that the new iPod Touch will get the latest A8 chip, it is safe to assume that it will be the A7 chipset that will power the new iPod Touch refresh.

Along with the more powerful iPod Touch, Apple is also said to be launching ‘updated’ iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle models in new color options such as Pink, Gold, and Dark Blue.

As revealed in the leaked picture on the Apple website, it is expected that the new models will be made official on the 14th.
