Apple iPhone 6c to release in mid-2016, claims IHS analyst

Time for some fresh new iPhone 6c rumor. IHS analyst Kevin Wang claims Apple will release the iPhone 6c by the middle of next year.

The new info comes barely a few weeks after KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kui claimed that Apple is working on a 4-inch iPhone 7c model for next year with a full metal unibody design. Kevin Wang hasn’t revealed any other details about the smartphone though, except that it will include a 4-inch display.

Based on the earlier report from Ming-Chi Kui, the iPhone 6c will be powered by the Apple A9 SoC but will not include the new 3D Touch technology that Apple debuted with its new iPhones this year. These compromises should allow Apple to price the iPhone 6c or 7c significantly lower than the iPhone 7 duo next year, catering to the needs of the user base more comfortable with a 4-inch sized display.
