Unsurprisingly, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 5s after launching the iPhone SE.
The iPhone 5s is no longer listed on the Apple website, which means you cannot buy it from the Apple store. However, that doesn’t mean you can longer buy it. A number of major online as well as brick and mortar stores across the world still have the iPhone 5s in stock, so it should take a couple of weeks until stocks run out everywhere.
The iPhone SE is the direct successor to the iPhone 5s and features more powerful hardware inside, along with an improved 12MP iSight camera from the iPhone 6s. The design, display, TouchID hardware, and the front-facing camera remain similar to the iPhone 5s though. In the US, the smartphone has been launched at the exact same price point as the iPhone 5s, which makes it a really attractive device for individuals not too keen on upgrading to a “big” new smartphone.
