Apple iPad Pro could launch next year with flexible touch panel

Looks like you may have to wait much longer for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro as a new report published today claims Apple will launch the larger screen iPad model only by next year.

According to the report from ETNews Korea, Apple will apparently be making the switch to AgNW touch-panels from the current ITO-based clear film touch panels. It is claimed the new AgNW Silver Nano Wire touch panel will help increase the touch sensitivity of the display and increase flexibility as well. Furthermore, it is also claimed to help lower production costs. The AgNW touch panel does sound like a perfect match for Apple’s Force Touch technology and should help improve the touch pen experience as well.

The new AgNW Silver Nano Wire panel will allegedly make its debut with the large-screen iPad Pro tablet next year and Apple has already asked its suppliers such as LG Display, Samsung Display, and Japan Display to send production ready AgNW touch panel samples.
