If you’re planning on pre-ordering the Apple Watch on April 10th, you should be aware that the Apple Watch will be compatible with your iPhone only if it is running iOS version 8.2. To get users ready for the Apple Watch experience, Apple has today begun releasing the latest version of iOS to users worldwide.
As you can tell, iOS 8.2 is the second big update to iOS 8 after iOS 8.1. The main feature the update brings is of course the ability to pair and sync your Apple iPhone to an Apple Watch. As mentioned by Apple earlier, the Apple Watch will be compatible only with an iPhone 5 or newer models.
Apple has made changes to the Health App as well with a number of stability improvements, bug-fixes and new features. You will now be able to turn off tracking of steps, distance and flights climbed. A number of stability improvements have also been made to Mail, Maps,and Music apps.
A long list of bugs have been fixed with the update, so those of you who are experiencing issues with iOS 8 currently should definitely give this update a try to see if your problems have been resolved.
