The AOC U2879VF is an upcoming 28” 4K Ultra HD monitor with support for AMD’s FreeSync variable refresh rate tech.
The 28” 3840 x 2160 resolution display uses an InnoLux M280DGJ-L30 TN panel with a claimed 1000:1 static contrast ratio, true 10-bit color without dithering, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, 1ms response time, and sRGB color gamut coverage. Although the panel offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate, the AMD FreeSync technology allows the monitor to match the graphics signal on compatible GPUs, allowing for a smoother gaming experience.
The included stand offers only tilt adjustment and there are no holes provided for VESA mounts. Ports include a dual-link DVI, HDMI 2.0 port with MHL support, DisplayPort 1.2a+, VGA, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
AOC U2879VF is expected to go on sale in the US starting early January and could be priced somewhere around the $400 mark.
