AnTuTu benchmark alludes to international version of Galaxy S4 LTE-A with Snapdragon 800

Everybody knows the Galaxy Note 3 is coming and that it will be big, both literally and figuratively. But what if it’s not the only flagship device Samsung has prepared for this fall?

Galaxy S4 LTE-A

True, releasing two top-notch devices at around the same time might not sound like Sammy’s usual m.o. Then again, think Galaxy S4, S4 Active and S4 LTE-A. Are they not all high-end Androids? And have they not been launched in the space of just a few months?

Well, this upcoming flagship may actually be tied to one of the above. Actually, to all of them. Codenamed GT-I9506, it could essentially be identical to the S4 LTE-A, only an “international” flavor set to leave the South Korean borders.

Sounds intriguing? More like confusing. But hey, not everyone can be persuaded to go for a mammoth of a phone like the Note 3 (tipped to have either a 5.7 or 6-inch screen), so if you want something a tad smaller but still packing plenty of punch, the GT-I9506 could very nicely fit the bill.

If it’s in fact real and identical to the SHV-E330 (aka Korean S4 LTE-A), the phone should be powered by an ultra-zippy quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It will have 2 gigs of RAM, an Adreno 330 GPU, a 5-inch Full HD screen, plus very likely LTE-Advanced support for when the new speeds will be accessible outside Asia.

As for actual performance, chances are it will also be on-par with that of the Korean S4 LTE-A. The GT-I9506 has been seen scoring around 31,000 points in AnTuTu, so more or less the same as the SHV-E330.

The odd thing is the international Snapdragon 800-powered GS4 is rumored to get unveiled on September 3 or 4, which is on the eve of IFA 2013’s start and also when we expect the Note 3 to become official. What do you guys think, would it be wise to introduce both monsters to the world on the same stage?
