The BlackBerry Passport has once again been caught running Android Lollipop in a few leaked images. The device will apparently be marketed as the BlackBerry Passport 2 and could launch by the second quarter next year.
While BlackBerry is indeed testing Android on the Passport 2 currently, the device’s future remains uncertain. BlackBerry is planning to release the smartphone only if its upcoming Android slider the ‘Venice’ receives a positive response from consumers.
BlackBerry is expected to unveil the Venice before the end of the year and it has now been confirmed that all four major US carriers will be selling the device. The smartphone is expected to arrive with 5.4-inch curved Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM, and an 18MP rear camera with optical image stabilization.
