Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Xiaomi Mi 4 now available

Xiaomi Mi 4

There’s some great news for owners of the Xiaomi Mi 4. Xiaomi has now started rolling out the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the handset.

For now, it looks like the update is only available in China for the Mi 4 LTE variant, but it is likely that the update will begin rolling out for Mi 4 owners in other markets very soon too. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update carries the build number MMB29M and reportedly weighs in at around 100MB in terms of size.

The update rollout for the Mi 4 comes barely a few days after the Mi Note started receiving the update. Like on the Mi Note, the latest Android 6.0.1 update for the Mi 4 updates the MIUI to the latest version 7, which includes a number of visual and functional tweaks for an overall better user-experience.
